Google Sheets & Web App Template Setup Guide (3 Simple Steps)
Thank you for using Shimashima Factory’s Google Sheets & Web App templates.
This system runs directly inside your own Google Drive. No programming, complex configuration, or software installation is required. Complete the setup in just 3 simple steps (approx. 3 minutes) below.
Copy the Template to Your Google Drive
- Click the “Template Copy Link” provided in the article or via our Official LINE.
- On the “Copy document” confirmation page, click the blue “Make a copy” button.
- A private copy of the spreadsheet will be created in your own Google Drive.
Deploy the Mobile Web App
Open your newly copied spreadsheet on your PC browser:
- In the top menu, click “Extensions” > “Apps Script” (a new tab will open).
- In the top-right corner, click the blue “Deploy” button and select “New deployment”.

Confirm the gear icon is set to “Web app”, then configure the following:
- Execute as: “Me”
- Who has access: “Anyone” (if team members will submit data) or “Only myself”
- Click the blue “Deploy” button in the bottom right.
When deploying for the first time, Google prompts for permissions. Follow these simple steps:
1. Choose your Google account.
2. When “Google hasn’t verified this app” appears, click the small “Advanced” link at the bottom left.
3. Click “Go to … (unsafe)” at the bottom.
4. Click “Allow” to grant your own script permission to run.
Once authorized, the “Web app URL” will be displayed. Click “Copy” to save your link.
Save on Mobile & Start Using!
- Open the copied Web App URL on your smartphone browser (Safari or Chrome).
- Add it to your Home Screen or Bookmarks for quick 1-tap access.
- To collaborate with teammates, simply share this Web App URL via LINE or chat.
